Submission of allegations for traffic penalties. You can submit allegations if you disagree with a complaint or traffic penalty imposed by the Local Police of El Prat de Llobregat. You can also provide or propose the evidence you consider appropriate.
If you decide to pay the penalty (abbreviated procedure)If you make the payment within 20 calendar days following notification of the complaint:
- You will get a reduction of 50% of the amount of the fine.
- You will waive the right to file allegations.
- The procedure will end without the need for an express resolution.
- The resolution will become final at the time of payment.
- The administrative route will be exhausted and only a contentious administrative appeal may be filed.
- The deadline for filing this contentious administrative appeal will be of two months starting from the day after payment.
This procedure is not applicable to the infractions provided for in articles 65.5.h, 65.5.j and 65.6 of the traffic legislation.
If you decide to file allegations (ordinary procedure)If you do not make payment within 20 calendar days of notification of the complaint:
- You will have 20 calendar days to present allegations and provide the evidence you deem appropriate.
- Once the case has been investigated, a resolution proposal will be formulated.
- The sanctioning resolution will put an end to the administrative procedure.

Against the sanctioning resolution you can present:
- Optional appeal for reinstatement, within the term ofone month from the notification.
- Contentious administrative appeal, in accordance with the legally established deadlines.
