Department of Environmental Action and Energy

Develop policies aimed at preserving the territory, biodiversity, natural heritage and agriculture of the municipality, as well as increasing social awareness about environmental problems.

The general objectives are: 

• Improve the ecological state of the municipality's open spaces (agricultural and natural) so that they maintain the ecosystem services they provide us.
• Develop a proposal to deepen the protection of natural spaces.
• Establish programs and proposals for the conservation, recovery and enhancement of biodiversity.
• Guarantee the territorial and economic viability of the municipality's agricultural areas.
• Develop a strategy to prevent or mitigate coastal regression.
• Manage and coordinate municipal and supramunicipal actions on the beach, understood as a natural space and recreational space at the same time.
• To raise awareness of current environmental problems and empower society to take action in favor of the environment.
