What is this procedure?

Communication of the new address of a person residing in El Prat de Llobregat.

Who can apply for it?

Any person of legal age registered in the Municipal Population Register of El Prat de Llobregat and who changes their address within El Prat de Llobregat.


What documentation must be submitted?

Personal details:
  • The original identification document of the applicant: NIF, Community Identity Card and NE certificate, NIE Card or valid passport.
  • In the event that the procedure is carried out by a person other than the interested party, a representation document accompanied by the identification document of both people. If you are not registered in the power of attorney register, you can do so immediately through this link to the Representa service.
In case of minor children:
  • Original of the Separation Judgment stating the custody of the child if the parents are separated.
  • Original Family Book or birth certificate if registered with parents.
  • Original of the Family Book and/or birth certificate and written authorization from both parents, with their identity document or, where applicable, the legal document of guardianship and custody, to register minors with people other than their parents.
Address details:
  • Owned Housing:
    - Original of the property deed where the applicant is listed as the new owner.
  • Rental housing:
    - Original of the current rental contract where the applicant is listed as the tenant, along with a recent rent receipt, and in the event that no rent has yet been paid, some recent utility bills for water, electricity, gas.
  • Other cases:
    1. When there are no registered persons at the address where registration is desired, if the interested person is not the owner, authorization from the owner of the home, identification of the owner and rental contract, property deed or recent supply receipt must be provided.
    2. When there are registered persons at the address where the change of address is to be made, the registration authorization of an adult person who is registered at the same address must be provided. The person authorizing must have some title accrediting the home (ownership, rental, etc.), in their name.
