What is this procedure?

Certificate issued by Ajuntament del Prat de Llobregat which certifies the registration of a person in the Municipal Population Register (current or not) and where the people who live or have lived together in a home during a specific period can be recorded.

Unlike the proof of registration, the certificate is the only document that reliably proves residence or cohabitation before certain administrative bodies and foreign organizations.

Who can apply for it?

  • Any adult person registered or who has been registered in the municipality.
  • Any person of legal age with express authorization from the person requesting the certificate.
  • In the event that the certificate must be issued in the name of a deceased person, the spouse, children, parents or testamentary heirs may request it, this relationship must be justified by documentation.

What documentation must be submitted?

Original NIF, community identity card and NIE certificate, NIE card or valid passport.

If the applicant is not the interested party, they must provide the original of their identity document, an express authorization accompanied by a photocopy of the identity document of the interested party.
