Civil wedding is a legally recognized marriage union that is celebrated before a civil authority, without a religious character. Through this procedure you can reserve the day and time to celebrate the civil marriage. in the Plenary Hall of the Ajuntament del Prat de Llobregat, once the marriage file has been processed and authorized before the corresponding Civil Registry.
To be able to celebrate the marriage at the City Hall, interested parties must first process the marriage file at the Civil Registry corresponding to the address of one of the contracting parties. Once authorization has been obtained and the date from which the marriage can be contracted is known, it will be possible to request in person the reservation of the day and time for the ceremony.
Civil weddings are held on Fridays and Saturdays (in the morning), in accordance with the calendar established by the City Council and always depending on the availability at the time of booking. Available dates can be consulted by telephone, in person and via email..

Any couple who wishes to celebrate their civil marriage at Ajuntament del Prat de Llobregat and who meets the established legal requirements:
Resolution of the Civil Registry Judge authorizing the celebration of the marriage.
The service will be free for couples registered in El Prat de Llobregat (at least one of the people).
For couples not registered in El Prat de Llobregat, the service will be subject to the application of a fee defined in OF 21 - Fee for the celebration of civil marriages.
