What is this procedure?

The idCAT is a digital certificate issued by the Catalan Certification Agency (CATCert) that allows you to identify yourself and sign electronically in a secure way. With this certificate you can sign and encrypt emails, sign web forms and electronic documents, and carry out procedures with different administrations and entities, such as the State Administration, the Generalitat de Catalunya, local administrations, provincial councils or banking entities.

Ajuntament del Prat de Llobregat is a Collaborating Registration Entity of idCAT and can validate your identity so that you can obtain the digital certificate.

To request the idCAT certificate, you must first fill out the form available on the idCAT website (https://idcat.aoc.cat/). Once the request has been made, you must go to OIAC to validate your identity. If you prefer, you can also make both the request and the validation directly at OIAC.

The idCAT digital certificate has an initial validity of 4 years. When it expires, a new one will need to be processed.

To consult the uses of the digital certificate, its installation or other aspects related to its management, you can consult the idCAT website.
