Department of Public Roads

The Department of Public Roads manages authorizations for the occupation of public spaces, processes sanctioning procedures in matters of traffic, civics, municipal ordinances and other sectoral regulations, and provides attention to citizens related to these areas, ensuring safe, orderly and respectful use of public roads. 

The general objective of the Public Roads Department is to ensure that citizens comply with ordinances.

• In the occupation of public roads: make the general use of the public road compatible with the special or private use of the public domain.

• In the processing of disciplinary cases: process the procedures for disciplinary cases for civic and traffic matters that arise from acts by municipal inspectors or from complaints from the Local Police directed at people responsible for violations of municipal ordinances.
